ABOUT
Hi, I'm Lindsey, currently the only employee at Radiate Wellness.
I have been a certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine since before I graduated college with my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science (15+ years ago, that's all you need to know oh, and GO BISON! ). I've been based in Bismarck for the majority of my career, managing various gyms/programs/organizations around town. I've been personal training and teaching group fitness since the beginning of my career and I've always had a passion for helping people.
When I started having babies 8 years ago, I knew I wanted to get out of management and back to working directly with people. I have also had a strong interest in the role psychology and mental health play in our health behaviors. This lead me to pursuing my certification as a Health & Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches and working as a wellness coach for 2 years, before I had my 3rd baby, who was born with special considerations. While I was working as a wellness coach, it became abundantly clear to me how confused people are when it comes to nutrition - eat this, don't eat that, fast here, eat now. So, while pregnant with my third, I pursued my certification as a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach. Also, along the way, I acquired a Pre- & Post Natal Certification through Girls Gone Strong because I was appalled by the lack of information (or, really, misinformation) out there regarding pregnancy and postpartum exercise.
All of these things lead to the birth of Radiate Wellness. I believe I have the knowledge to properly educate people on what really matters (aka "cutting through the crap" that's out there), the tools to empower clients to make manageable and sustainable changes to their health, and the playfulness to make sure we have fun along the way.
Outside of my part-time work with Radiate Wellness, I am home with my 3 kids. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading (mostly contemporary or historical fiction), listening to audio books (mostly autobiographies and memoirs) and podcasts (usually health focused), experimenting in the kitchen (aka cooking and baking), and traveling (not nearly as often as I'd like).
